Lampertz Outdoor Room

The mobile and energy-efficient data centre

The Lampertz Outdoor data centre has been especially developed for mobile or temporary use of IT systems. It is the energy-efficient and quickly available solution for the accommodation of IT hardware and 19“ racks and is available, ready for use, in a very short time.

The integration with features such as free cooling, extinguishing system or integrated electricity and uninterrupted power supply in the outdoor data centre is unique. This overall package ensures use with optimised running
costs.

The outdoor data centre is especially suitable for companies who would like to use the Lampertz outdoor data centre to bridge several weeks or months while their existing data centre is being altered or extended, but still ensuring
the full availability and security. The outdoor data centre is also ideally suitable for use as a permanent main or back-up data centre.

Your advantages

Mobility
Can be positioned on any site, indoor or outdoor, which is suitable for installation of a container. It is possible to change the location at short notice.

Energy efficiency
Air conditioning by means of free cooling technology enables up to save 40% of the cooling costs compared to conventional air conditioning units.

Plug & Play solution
The Lampertz outdoor data centre is delivered ready for use: Install – Plug and Wire - Ready!

Availability
The IT container is ready for use on site - worldwide - within a very short time.

Individuality
The Lampertz outdoor data centre is available with Rittal TS8 quality racks (basic version not equipped with racks). However, it is also possible to integrate the customer‘s existing 19“ racks.

Protection properties
The place of use can be chosen regardless of the weather. The outdoor data centre defies the rain, wind, heat, cold and other weather conditions.

Monitoring
Whether by means of Rittal‘s reliable computer multi control monitoring (CMC) or the customer‘s existing system - our customers have full control and an overview of their IT components and infrastructure at all times.

Environmental awareness
Only environmentally friendly materials are used. CO2 emissions are of course reduced by using state of the art technologies. The same also applies to the use of non-toxic and environmentaly friendly extinguishing agents.

The basic version of the outdoor data centre is already a completely functional system.
The scope of supply of the basic model consists of the following modules:

✓ Basic container
✓ Air conditioning
✓ Power distribution
✓ Raised floor
✓ Cable ducts
✓ Access control system

The basic modules in detail:

Container:
Steel frame with corrugated sheet facade „made in Germany“ as self-supporting steel frame structure in various RAL colours (colour RAL 3020 red as standard). Walls, ceiling and floors F30 fire protection classification.

Dimensions:
External (D x B x H): 6055 x 2435 x 3000 mm
Internal (D x B x H): 5727 x 2270 x 2700 mm

Usable area: 13 m2
Weight: approx. 3.5 tons
Floor load: 3500 N/sqm

Air conditioning:
Prepared for three different cooling capacities, the air conditioning in the form of free cooling technology is classified into three capacity levels:

7 kW 1+1 redundant = approx. 2,000 euro savings*
14 kW 2+1 redundant = approx. 3.800 euro savings*
20 kW 2+1 redundant = approx. 4.600 euro savings*

*Savings per year compared to a conventional air conditioning solution and based on an electricity
price of 0.095 euro/kW.

This diagram shows the savings effect achieved by using the free cooling unit.

While conventional closed circuit cooling systems with this capacity consume around 23,800 kWh/a, the Lampertz air conditioning unit requires just about 3,600 kWh/a (this comparison is based on an air output of 1,700 cbm/h).

The free cooling takes place in closed circuit operation. The main advantages are the much reduced electricity consumption, substantially lower electrical loads and installation of the indoor air conditioning units so that external
units are not necessary.

Power distribution:
The scope of supply includes the interior lighting as well as a power socket and seven fused outlets for the racks‘ power supply. These are supplied via CEE wall-mounted equipment plugs (125A, 3Ph/N/PE, 400 V/50Hz). Power
supply for the infrastructure components and a multi-meter for monitoring current and voltage are included.

Raised flooring:
300 mm high raised flooring is integrated for efficient air routing and cable management.

Duct:
A hard duct for the power supply and a further hard duct for the data wiring already exist (two additional ducts can be optionally integrated).

Access system:
The door is secured by means of a lock cylinder and three keys and corresponds to resistance class WK 2.

The optional packages

The following operations are available for optimisation and completion of the basic model:

Uninterupted Power Supply (UPS)
The energy-efficient modular UPS is accommodated in a rack (W x D 600 x 1000 mm). It has an autonomy time of 15 minutes. The three output levels 8, 16 and 20 kW depend on the air-conditioning power.

Extinguishing system
The fully automatic compact fire alarm and extinguishing system including early fire detection is matched to the necessary volume and is integrated in a separate cabinet (W x H 300 x 1000 mm). Environmentally friendly
Novec1230 gas is used as the extinguishing medium.

19“ rack system
Depending on the model, up to seven 19“ Rittal TS8 quality racks (W x H x D 600 x 2000 x 1000 mm; 42 HE) can be integrated. Alternatively, the customer‘s own rack systems can be integrated.

Power distribution (to/within) the rack
Plug & Play power distribution packages are available, depending on the model and number of racks. Each package contains a pre-assembled connection cable from the power distribution to the rack and a Power System Module
(PSM) for intelligent electricity distribution in the rack.

Access system
Alternatively to the standard, the following access systems can be used:
· Electronic lock for code card reader (on site signal )
· Electronic lock (on site signal)
· Push-button code combination lock
· On-site customer locking system/lock cylinder (installation by user)
In addition, the door can be supplied with resistance class WK 3.

Monitoring
We recommend the use of the Computer Multi Control-TC system for monitoring the outdoor data centre. It monitors the main technical components and sends error messages via the customer‘s own network as well as via a GSM
unit to a mobile phone belonging to the customer. Alternatively, however, a system already used by the customer can also be integrated.

Colours
The Lampertz outdoor data centre is available in different RAL shades.

Cable duct
Two additional cable ducts (hard ducts), whose position is determined by the system, are also available.

Sun protection
Sun protection is available if the outdoor data center is is exposed to direct solar radiation.

Service/Maintenance
The service includes one maintenance inspection per year (plus material costs).
